Turn a Baja Designs Squadron into a fully functional flashlight the runs off your power tool batteries.

After multiple years of using and working with our Baja Designs Squadron Flashlight, we decided it was time for a redesign. Our top priority for this new design was to ensure there was a trigger switch at the index finger. Our last design was great, but the biggest flaw was that you couldn't turn the flashlight on while holding it with one hand. This was due to the rocker switch being placed on the back of the unit. Our main goal to make this next generation housing a better user experience was to place the switch strategically at the index finder, making turning it on and off seamless.

Similar to our last design, we implemented rubber bumpers into the side of the housing for some added durability on impact. Unlike our last design that was manufactured all in 1 piece, this new design is made in 5 separate pieces and assembled after. This give us a lot more flexibility when it comes to the design and shape, which is ultimately how we were able to achieve a handle grip style we believe will be a new fan favorite. This is also beneficial if one manages to damage to break any piece of the unit, we are able to quickly and easily service and replace the part.

The handle grip design was modeled similar to the feeling of the Milwaukee M12 impact driver. The back has a nice arch, fitting nicely in the palm of your hand. The front has indents for the fingers, using it feels seamless.

If you are looking to buy just the housing and install the light on your own or are upgrading a prior flashlight that you bought from us, please note that the install is more difficult than our prior models. It is a bit more tedious to get the wiring situated into the low voltage cutoff board, as we are working with less space inside the housing. This housing is 3D printed here in the USA making the form and fit perfection. We recently started shipping out all units using PETG-CF instead of the PETG-HF prior used, this gives the unit a nicer surface finish and better durability with a higher quality material.
